How to Choose the Right Crystal for You: A Guide by Intention

·Devratna . ·1 min read

With so many crystals promising so many things, choosing one can feel overwhelming. At Devratna we tell every customer the same thing: don't start with the stone — start with what you need. Here's a simple, honest guide to finding the piece that's actually meant for you.

Start with your intention, not the stone

A crystal is a daily reminder of an intention you've set. So the easiest way to choose is to ask: what do I want more of right now? Protection from negativity? Wealth and momentum? Love and softness? Calm and better sleep? Or overall balance? Pick that first — the right stones follow.

The five intentions

Protection

For shielding your energy and warding off the evil eye — Karungali (black ebony) malas and Pyrite are the classics. Shop Protection →

Wealth & Success

To clear money blocks and draw in opportunity — Pyrite, Citrine, Tiger Eye and Green Aventurine. Our Money Magnet blend combines several in one. Shop Wealth & Success →

Love

To open the heart and invite in love — Rose Quartz is the gentle favourite, for yourself or as a gift. Shop Love →

Calm & Sleep

To quiet an overactive mind and rest better — Amethyst calms, clears and soothes. Shop Calm & Sleep →

Chakra Balance

For a full‑body reset — a Seven Chakra bracelet aligns all seven energy centres at once. Shop Chakra Balance →

How to cleanse and energise your crystal

Stones pick up energy, so give yours a fresh start. Rinse under running water or leave it in moonlight overnight to cleanse it. Then hold it, breathe, and silently name your intention. Wear it on your left wrist to receive energy, and re‑cleanse every few weeks.

Why certification matters

The crystal market is flooded with dyed glass and synthetic imitations sold on faith. Every Devratna piece is lab‑tested, energised through our pran‑pratishtha ritual, and shipped with a signed certificate of authenticity — so the trust rests on paper you can hold, not just our word.
